Hey guys! It’s been so long since my last blog post. So I would like to make it up to you guys especially that we’ve just started a brand new year – the year of the tiger.

But first, let me give you a list of the great movies for 2010 that you should definitely look forward to.

I personally pick The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I and Iron Man 2 as my most anticipated movies of this year. How about you? Do you already have your own list of most anticipated 2010 movies?

I just saw this movie last night and the huge crowd behind me in the cinema lobby just proves that this is another blockbuster hit that people wouldn't dare to miss. After watching it, I must say that Michael Bay together with Steven Spielberg really did a great job.

I will rate this movie as 4 out of 5 for being so magnificent. The entire cast never fail to entertain the crowd. Especially Bumblebee, the naughty character of Shia LaBeouf and the super hottie Megan Fox. A lot of critics may be heard but what can I do? I just love what I saw from the beginning up to the very end and I will keep on watching and waiting for more upcoming sequel of this film.

It is confirmed that Scarlett Johansson to play as Black Widow and Mickey Rourke as Ironman’s villain Whiplash, have already signed in as additional casting of Ironman movie. This upcoming Ironman’s sequel has just been one of the much-awaited movies of 2010. Gwyneth Paltrow will also come back to play the role of Pepper Potts once again. Also in the scene is Don Cheadle playing Col. James "Rhodey" Rhodes and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

Fast and Furious: Back in Action

With the original casting of this movie that was actually considered a hit during its first launch, the idea of getting them back in action is now phenomenal. Bringing back Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, John Ortiz and Laz Alonso makes it the best out of the entire movie series. Fast & Furious, the fourth movie installment, is rated PG 13 that opens on April 3, 2009. This will be another great comeback action movie as directed by Justin Lin.

Share your 'Bedtime Stories'

Although it may seem to be a typical comedy movie that is intended for the whole family, I really admire the way how the story has ended. For me, I can rate the film with 4 out of 5 stars!

Admit it! When you were a kid, you also have that unique bedtime stories or you have that same old story that you want to hear and read by your Mom every time you were about to sleep, right?! So this goes the same way with Patrick (Jonathan Morgan Heit) and Bobbi (Laura Ann Kesling) who happens to be the well-mannered nephew and niece of the great hotel handyman Skeeter Bronson (Adam Sandler). In addition to this, I really love their pet ‘Bugsy’ – Patrick and Bobbi’s pet who got his name due to his eyes. Aside from raining gumballs, it is just nice to watch how the kids can control the story in Skeeter’s real life and how they can make his dreams come true simply by using their wide imagination. Other casts include Keri Russell, Guy Pearce, Russell Brand, Richard Griffiths, Teresa Palmer, Courteney Cox, Lucy Lawless and more.

When I was a kid, I had been an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ aficionado. I even remember playing an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ board game with my playmates. Well, now I guess, here’s my chance to see it happen in a movie.

Alice in Wonderland is a movie based on the Lewis Carroll classic. Just like in Beowulf, the movie also combines performance-capture imagery with live-action footage. The legendary casts include Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska, Matt Lucas, Michael Sheen and Helena Bonham Carter. The film is directed by Tim Burton, an American film director famous for his movies like Edward Scissorhands, Batman and Batman Returns, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and other movie industry’s best-seller. We can expect the release date of Alice in Wonderland on the 5th day of March in 2010.

Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans

Just going back to the Underworld history, during the Dark Ages, there is a young Lycan (named Lucian) that emerges as a powerful leader. Lucian rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor. Viktor is the cruel vampire king who has imprisoned them. Together with Sonja, Lucian’s secret lover, they started the battle against the Death Dealer army. Their aim is to struggle for Lycan freedom.

It is a well known fact that the great Iron Man and Incredible Hulk are parts of the Ultimate Avengers. Well Zak Penn, the comic book screenwriter of these films, shared some info regarding the possible making of Avengers movie. He recently stated in his interview on MTV that the making of Avengers movie is definitely going to happen. However, he still waits for the sequel of Iron Man and new Hulk movie to be released first before taking the next big step.

Penn also added, “Avengers is definitely going to happen; the idea was always to do a crossover with multiple superheroes. I'm waiting to let 'Iron Man' and 'Hulk' come out because those are two characters that could appear in it. I used to think that movie would be impossible to make but now I feel like it's not."

Therefore, if most of you guys are more than excited to know when these exceptional back to back scenes from Iron Man and Hulk will happen? Let’s just wait and see! Everybody wants to be a role model. Well, like these crazy fellas who turned into a mentor, they are about to make us laugh with their upcoming movie. This lethal combination of two hilariously funny actors, Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott, provides another comedy hit that soon will be shown in theaters near you. This is a must-see movie especially for those who want to get away with their stressful lifestyle.

Imagine how these two salesmen, namely Danny and Wheeler, face the charges of trashing their company truck into an energy drink-fueled bender. As expected, they are being arrested wherein they ended up choosing between two options. Whether they’ll go to jail and do hard time as a consequence to what they have done or, pick a mentorship program while spending 150 service hours with the kids. They both agreed to stick with the second choice. After all, mentoring the kids isn’t that bad as compared to the first one.

See how these two extremely funny guys will handle the task of their choice. Especially that one of them needs to guide a kid who’s undergoing the trials of becoming a man while the other needs to assist a fifth-grader by getting rid of his rude character and stopping him from saying foul words.

Yeah, I know you also wanted to hear that line again. Well, good news to all those fans waiting for the next release of these well-known robot figures. Transformers 2 will be released on all conventional theaters and IMAX on June 26, 2009!

I know you guys can’t wait to see this sequel especially that Megatron and his company will surely have their revenge this time. The very exceptional man, Michael Bay who is behind the success of Transformers, will still direct the part 2 of this movie. The sequel is still made after DreamWorks Pictures.

Seven Pounds starring Will Smith

I can’t wait to watch this movie. It’s not just that I am a big fan of Will Smith but also because I want to know the difference of this film from the one he has made before, prior to this film. Yes, I was mesmerized with his acting on “The Pursuit of Happyness” especially that his son Jaden Smith is also there. I really love that story that’s why I can’t wait to see another upcoming movie of Will Smith that was created by the same director, Gabriele Muccino. For sure, this will be undoubtedly another award-winning acting for Will Smith.

This is certainly a great topic to talk about especially that Halloween is just a few days away. Although I haven’t seen on this MSN list the movies that really freaked me out just like the “Exorcism of Emily Rose” and “Gothika”, I believe these are surely some of the scariest horror movies that give goosebumps to those individuals who watched these films.

According to MSN, a great horror film should make the viewers jump, squirm, sweat and scream for whatever generations they belong. And this top 10 horror movies have done such efforts to do all of these aspects (although I haven’t watched most on the list). See this list of the scariest movies from MSN and also, feel free to post on the top 10 horror films of your own.

10. "Eraserhead" (1977)
David Lynch's cult classic is the closest thing to being stuck in a nightmare: Not much makes sense, but you get the feeling that nothing is quite right. Lynch employs dinners that walk off the plate, eerie silences that become deafening and an infant that makes Rosemary's baby seem cute and cuddly. So chilling it's damn near unwatchable.

9. "The Exorcist" (1973)
The real terror of "The Exorcist" may not involve Satan and possession, but the helplessness of a parent trying to save a child. Of course, a ton of harrowing special effects and director William Friedkin's somber respect for the supernatural subject matter doesn't hurt either. It's horror for grown-ups.

8. "Halloween" (1978)
John Carpenter's film is blamed for the rash of slasher films that destroyed the genre in the '80s, but "Halloween" possesses a style and intensity that most of its copycats lack. From the opening sequence -- when we see through the eyes of little boy Michael Myers as he stalks and murders his sister -- onward, the film relies on suspense rather than sensationalism. Our fear is caused by what might happen rather than actual events, as Carpenter spends a good amount of time in darkness, making us see things that may or may not be there.

7. "Don't Look Now" (1973)
Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie head to Venice to forget the tragic accidental death of their child. However, it's impossible to forget when the dead child keeps reappearing. Nicolas Roeg's labyrinthine film is rich in dreamlike atmosphere and works on a purely psychological level: It disorients, frustrates and builds to a horrible climax, reminding that tragedy can never be forgotten ... and neither can this film.

6. "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (1974)
A group of annoying teens make a wrong turn on a road trip through Texas and encounter the most dysfunctional family imaginable. It's a teen exploitation flick shot like a documentary. Wonderfully grim, mean and inhumane, director Tobe Hooper's debut doesn't spill much blood, instead opting to giddily, relentlessly torture and chase its audience (much like Leatherface treats his victims) for 80 minutes. It feels like days.

5. "Nightmare on Elm Street" (1984)
Before dream-killer Freddy Krueger became a quipping pop-culture reference, he represented the most twisted monster unleashed on the public since Halloween's Michael Myers. Seeking vengeance by slicing and dicing the children of the parents who murdered him, Freddy scared the hell out of Cineplex audiences. His on-screen entrance remains terrifying, as does much of director Wes Craven's surreal, smart and shocking masterpiece.

4. "Suspiria" (1977)
"Suspiria" is a full-on sensory assault by Italian horror master Dario Argento, the cinematic equivalent of an anxiety attack. A poor American ballet student arrives in Europe and Argento berates her with weather, grisly murders, a possible coven of witches, his virtuosic camera, and possible the freakiest score ever conceived (by the director himself). The plot barely makes sense, so just let it terrorize you.

3. "Night of the Living Dead" (1968)
A group of kids get trapped inside a farm house by an endless stream of flesh-eating zombies. Sounds silly, but director George Romero takes his simple premise and redefines the genre with a shoestring budget. The amount of sadistic gore, the claustrophobic tension, the rising levels of hysteria and an increasingly deflated awareness that a happy ending is impossible make this a nasty classic. There is no hope here, only suffocating terror.

2. Repulsion (1965)
Director Roman Polanski did more horror afterward, with "Rosemary's Baby" and "The Tenant," but this -- a menacing, nightmarish profile of one woman's descent into madness -- may be his most realized effort. Catherine Denueve embodies sexual repression as a young woman left alone in her apartment -- and to her deluded fantasies -- for the weekend. The film is nearly silent, creating a mounting mood of dread. Try watching it alone with the lights off and see how long you last.

Alfred Hitchcock's blueprint for contemporary horror: More than just a film, "Psycho" was a cultural slap in the face. Censors wanted to ban it, while screaming audiences couldn't get enough of it. Hitch employs all of his tricks -- shifting audience sympathies, killing off the main character halfway through the film and a ton of macabre humor -- but more importantly he makes the horror internal. Norman Bates isn't a monster in the classic sense; he suggests that the greatest evil can lurk beneath the quietest, most pleasant surface.

By the way, this is a new ad featuring Kobe Bryant, Alex Rodriguez, Michael Phelps and Tony Hawk. These athletic guys are totally hilarious while rockin' out in a Tom Cruise style.

In case you’re not familiar with this stuff, the athletes actually reenact the Tom Cruise’s classic Risky Business dance scene. The scene where they parade around a button-down shirt and white socks, that’s the exact scene they portray. This cool commercial is for the Guitar Hero World Tour edition.

Tobey Maguire Returns in Spider-Man 4 and 5 Movies

Good news fans! Tobey Maguire will again be playing the big role to the next sequel of ever famous Spider-Man. A lot of people have been eavesdropping to the latest news and gossip about this much awaited movie series. Finally, Sam Raimi and the very own Spider-Man - Tobey Maguire, puts an end to the issue by signing on to the fourth and fifth filming of Spider-Man.

The only thing they are waiting for confirmation now is if Kirsten Dunst will still play as Mary Jane Watson. However, they were confident for this matter especially that Kirsten has made recent statement that she still wants to continue with the series. Only her, signing the contract can give Raimi 100% assurance to direct it and possibly start the production by March of 2010. Raimi stating that, "I hope she'll be written into it. I couldn't imagine making one without her, and I think she's an important part of the movies" also believes that with Tobey and Kirsten to continue doing the movie, a great production is surely yet to happen.

It has also been undecided yet whether or not Spider-Man 4 and 5 will be shot back-to-back similarly with the movie “Lord of The Rings”. But Raimi emphasizes that surely, the next two movies of Spider-Man will be connected. It’s just that he was being a little apprehensive to shoot two blockbuster movies loaded with special-effects at the same time, after admitting that Spider-Man 3 was a bit exhausting.

Whichever of these plans will happen, I’m just glad to know there’s another best-selling movie that will soon hit the industry!

Johnny Depp to be the Next Joker?

A lot of rumors have been heard that this versatile actor, Johnny Depp, is about to do another eccentric role. Gossips were running around telling JD will be playing as the new Joker in the sequel for the Dark Night.

This famous Batman series is now the talk of the town considering that the joker didn't die in the last Batman movie. This leaves one big question especially that the brilliant acting of the late Heath Ledger will no longer be continued and needs to find an alternative that will match his talent.

The big question is – “Who will play as Joker to the next Batman movie?”. And a lot of people are guessing that Johnny Depp would be the next. Maybe this is due to the fact that Depp can adapt any kind of role and can certainly deliver an audience. His superb acting and the great facial expressions can probably portray the role, so effectively.

But some dudes wouldn’t want to see him acting like one. They believe that his deep acting capabilities won’t fit the character. For such a sadistic and twisted actor as him, they don’t see Johnny as the Joker at all. Some even say James Franco when in long hair looks a lot similar to Heath, so why not him?

Maybe I would just say… why so serious, guys?! Let’s just wait and see… as the famous quote says, “Let’s just cross the bridge when we get there.” Need I say more?

One Hell of a Movie!

It was just last Sunday when I watched HellboyII: The Golden Army. I admit.. it's kinda boring at the start but as I continue to pay attention to this sequel, it became more interesting to me. Well... thanks to Abraham... and of course, Red (hellboy) for the amazing comedy lines and acts.

The graphics of this movie is also great! While I found some glitches, I can still say that every scene looks more of a reality to me. The plot and story is also fascinating just like the first one. One of my favorite parts, of which people with hallow humor will agree with me, is the scene where Abraham and Hellboy are drinking beer and listening to Barry Manilow's, "Can't Smile With You." Anyone? har har...

For all movies with sequels, we all can't help but compare each after the other. For me, Hellboy II is much better than the first release - given that it is a sci-fi movie with good humor intelligence. Really fascinating! My rate? 1 (lowest) - 5 (highest) ... it's 3.5 =D

Batman, The Dark Knight

I am a big fan of Batman ever since this official Warner Brother series have been shown on the big screen. And I must admit, I’m still fascinated with the film.

Especially that after watching the latest sequel, “Batman, The Dark Knight”, I can definitely say that it’s not just a hit movie but a film that is worth what you pay for.

The setting was contemporary that adds uniqueness to each and every fight scenes. The twist of the story even gave life to the characters.

And listen, the humor of the main characters really impresses everyone who has seen this film. Believe me, maybe this will also be the first time that you will focus more on the role that the antagonist plays rather than the heroine.

But of course, Christian Bale played as Batman so anyone can never resist his charm. But I really admired and salute the acting of Heath Ledger on this film. It’s like he played the main character of the film with the way he acted and portrayed his role as a Joker. He really is indeed a very good actor and deserves an award for his “Why so serious?” acting. I just feel bad that I can no longer see him do another great movie.

I will rate the film 9 out of 10. For me, “Batman - The Dark Knight” is really a great movie. Although some parents may not want to bring their kids as they watch this hot seller Batman sequel, but it is still a must-see film that you shouldn’t miss!

The Iron Man – The Hero with a Heart

After watching this movie on the big screen last Saturday, I realized that another movie is well worth its ticket price. I like the acting of Robert Downey Jr. being the famous Tony Sparks here. He reminds me of the funny side of Johnny Depp. For me, he also has the same features, actually a combination of the face of the famous actors Hugh Jackman and Sylvester Stallone. And I like the name of Gwyneth Paltrow in the film, she played as Pepper Potts.

Basically, The Iron Man is Rated PG-13 simply because of some intense sequence and violence in some parts of the film but more than that, it is definitely a great movie. The tagline, “Heroes aren’t born. They’re built.” gives a reasonable idea why Iron Man can also be called as hero. The big thing why Iron Man is different from other well-known characters is that he has the heart. Take note, his heart is one of a kind. He is the only man with that extraordinary glowing heart made with wires and other electrical components that actually give life to his own built armored suit. He was forced to become the Iron Man after he rescued himself from the custody of the terrorists who were unfortunately, his loyal customers. Yes, Tony Sparks is a well-recognized maker of powerful weapons but after that life-threatening incident, he eventually realized what he’s worth and decides to use technology through his own inventions to fight against evil.

All in all, I will rate this movie as 4 out of 5. It is really a very good movie. From the fight scenes to the graphics and also for the humor that the main character portrays, I think that this is definitely one of the best movies for this year!

This sexy 43-year old hunk-dad is none other than Johnny Depp (who is also by the way, one of my favorite Hollywood actors). ‘Public Enemies’ is a film that focuses on the attempt of the government to bring to an end the crimes that was made by some of the most famous criminals of the Depression era. ‘G.I Joe’ - The Next Box Office Hit!

When I was young, I used to watch the cartoons show of this great American hero also known as G.I Joe. But hang on guys, ‘coz we’re about to see this brave man in real life! Ooops! Not in our own lives but just in the movie screen. This is another blockbuster hit to be released in summer of 2009 coming from the Paramount productions which is also the great name behind the success of “Transformers”. And way to go for the first release of two photos (one shown above) of the ever popular Snake Eyes played by Ray Parker who also portrayed the great Darth Maul in "Star Wars". Director Stephen Sommers was impressed with Snake Eyes’ fame and even said to his interview with USA Today that, "He's the world's greatest ninja, but he's also next-generation. He's not afraid to use a sword one second, and a split-second later he's pulling out his Glock. His chief nemesis is arguably the world's other great ninja, Storm Shadow. The two grew up together, were blood brothers and now are mortal enemies." Also, according to Channing Tatum who plays Duke as the G.I. Joe's leader, describes the film as mixing the adventures seen in 'X-Men' with the action-packed 'Mission Impossible’. Well, what else can I say? This is really another great film to watch out for!!!

A Very Rare Match-up

I think “The Forbidden Kingdom” which is now showing on cinemas is really a sensationally rare movie that I should not dare to miss. This action packed movie filled with Kung Fu highlights with a touch of fantasy and science fiction combines the famous casts Jackie Chan and Jet Li. This is really a one-of-a-kind match-up of the great actors known for their great talents in Kung Fu. And since Jackie Chan plays one of the leading roles in this movie, I must expect a slight comedy to thrill me up once I get the chance to watch it. Oh I can’t wait to watch it on the big screen! I just don’t have much time to go to the movie cinemas right now and will still have to wait for the weekend.

A Must-See “10,000 B.C.”

It was last Saturday, a weekend get-away when my boyfriend and I decided to watch a movie. He chose 10,000 B.C. among all the lineup of films featured in every Cinema. From the beginning till the end of the film, we were both mesmerized by the things we were viewing in the wide screen. Maybe because the film directed by Roland Emmerich provides a great setting; the action-packed scene where mammoths were running all over the place and of course, the very beautiful faces of the casts. This especially pertains to the mysterious blue-eyed girl named Evolet played by Camilla Belle. Her face looks so lovely in the screen even with mud and bruises on her face and body. Aside from this, it was really unique to have seen a love story behind an epic with a prehistoric plot. The journey of D’Leh (Steven Strait) also gives life to the entire film. He really portrays the role so well and the tagline “It takes a hero to change the world” really suits his character.

As a whole, I was glad to know that the movie was worth every penny we spent. For me, the rating of this movie is 3 out 5 (5 as the highest). And in case you haven’t seen this movie yet, you can have a quick view of the trailer here. This teaser was actually featured in YouTube:

Batman returns in "The Dark Knight"

It will be mix emotions for Heath Ledger fans to wait for the upcoming continuation of the Batman story. It may be hard and exciting at the same time to see and watch the late Heath Ledger who was known for his versatile talent to perfectly play the role of “Joker” that will surely make this movie a big hit. Undoubtedly, a lot of movie fans out there (even yours truly) can’t wait to grab a ticket for the premier of Batman: The Dark Knight not only because of the casts but also for the story itself. I have seen a similar post at Everyday Discovery regarding this most talked about film. After the ever-alluring actress-singer Jennifer Lopez gave birth to twins who happen to be a boy and a girl, another sexy actress is expected to be welcomed in the world of motherhood. Jessica Alba, the "Sexiest Woman in the World" based on the FHM list will probably be another add-on to the group of sexy Moms who are blessed with twins. She will most likely give birth to twins before the year ends, as gossips claim. In fact, her pregnancy caused her to tumble backstage after her presentation to the recently celebrated 80th Academy Awards. She was also caught during her shopping spree for vintage furniture in the photo shown above. This 26-year old Latina Mom is enjoying her minute-walk with a friend when this photo was shot but still looks so attractive with her casual ensemble consisting of an adorable cap, a black tight fitting blouse, a long chain, a nice pair of earrings and red velvet pants.

I wonder how lovely and adorable their offspring will be. Who knows? They might also be one the next sexiest man and woman here on earth when they reach their parent’s age.

Stay Foot to the Hottest X-Men Chap

It is fun to have the first glimpse to the much-awaited prequel movie of the X-Men history. Being one of the producers, Hugh Jackman (who is by the way one of my favorite actors) have released his exceptional flair onto this photo. And I’m really impressed with the way he plays the role of Wolverine ever since. I can’t wait to watch and see him on his major role to the upcoming “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” movie that will be due in theaters May 1, 2009.

A mutant that looks so gorgeous even with his adamantium claws, Wolverine is considered more of a good guy rather than a nice guy. I will be more than excited to know how the X-Men story will run and how his love for Jean Grey (another fictional character in X-Men) will affect his ever-consistent superhero attitude. Well based on the photo shown above, I can definitely say that millions of Wolverine fans and X-Men enthusiasts out there will look forward to watching this appealing man to capture the movie screen in the near future.
